1. Who are we?

2. What data do we collect?
  • WooCommerce customer account: first name, last name, email, hashed password, billing/shipping addresses, order history.
  • Order & billing: order details, payment method, amounts, discounts, statuses, invoices.
  • Payment: card data is processed exclusively by Stripe; we do not store card numbers.
  • Contact / support form: name, email, phone number, message.
  • Browsing & technical cookies: session identifiers, cart, display preferences.
  • Comments: comment content, IP, user-agent for anti-spam.
    A hash of your email may be sent to the Gravatar service to display an avatar.
  • Media uploaded by you: avoid uploading images containing EXIF GPS metadata.
3. Why do we collect this data?
  • Performance of the contract: create your account, process and deliver your order, send you your documents (invoice, gift voucher, etc.).
  • Customer support & security: assistance, fraud/abuse prevention, access management.
  • Legal obligations: accounting, invoicing, fraud prevention.
  • Opt-in marketing (if you agree): newsletter, offers.
4. Who do we share your data with?

We only share what is necessary:

  • Hosting & email: o2switch (hosting of the website and @pacifickite.com email services).
  • Payment: Stripe (secure payment processing; card data handled by Stripe).
  • Anti-spam / captcha: verification service (e.g. Google reCAPTCHA).
  • Analytics tools / embedded content (YouTube, Instagram, etc.): these services may place their own cookies and collect usage data when their content is displayed on our website.

We do not sell your data. Transfers outside the EU/EEA may occur (e.g. Stripe) with appropriate legal safeguards (standard contractual clauses).

5. Cookies & trackers

We use technical cookies essential for the functioning of the shop, and, with your consent, audience measurement and marketing cookies.

WooCommerce technical cookies (examples):

  • woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart: remember the cart (duration: session).
  • wp_woocommerce_session_*: customer session identifier (up to 48 hours).
  • WordPress login cookies: remember your login and your screen preferences (up to 2 weeks if “Remember me”).

Your choice: via the cookie banner, you can accept or refuse non-essential cookies. You can also delete them from your browser settings.

  • Inactive customer account: 24 months, then anonymisation/deletion unless a legal obligation requires otherwise.
  • “Pending/failed” orders: 7 days.
  • Cancelled orders: 14 days.
  • Refunded orders: 12 months (after-sales management).
  • Completed orders (invoices / accounting documents): 10 years (legal obligation).
  • Technical & security logs: proportionate duration (from a few weeks to a few months).
  • Marketing prospecting (opt-in): until consent is withdrawn or after 3 years of inactivity.

We implement technical and organisational measures (HTTPS/TLS, access control, regular updates, server hardening). Payments are processed via Stripe on secure pages; we do not store your card data.

You have the following rights: access, rectification, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, and withdrawal of consent at any time for processing based on consent.

11. Where is your data processed?

Our web and mail servers are hosted in France (o2switch). Some service providers (e.g. Stripe) may process data outside the EU. In such cases, appropriate safeguards apply (e.g. standard contractual clauses).

12. Comments

When you leave a comment, we collect the data shown in the form, as well as your IP and user-agent to fight spam. A hash of your email may be sent to Gravatar to display an avatar (see their policy). Once the comment is approved, your avatar may be public along with the comment.

13. Media (if you upload images)

Avoid uploading images containing EXIF GPS data. Site visitors may extract this information if it is present.

14. Transactional emails & newsletter
  • Transactional (order, account, password reset): necessary for the performance of the contract.
  • Newsletter / offers: only if you have given your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of each email or by writing to us.
15. Minors

Our services are intended for adults. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, please contact us for deletion.
