1. Purpose

These terms and conditions govern the sale and delivery of the services offered by Pacific Kite (supervised lessons, supervised riding/rentals, guided downwinds). They apply to all bookings made with the school.

2. Services & procedures

• Kite & wing lessons: estimated duration 2 hours. Usual time slots: 9:30 am, 11:45 am, 2:00 pm (subject to change depending on weather and availability).
• Towed foil lessons: schedules defined at the time of booking.
• Lessons take place in deep water (lagoon/offshore) with boat safety support provided by the instructor.

3. Spots & meeting points

The school is mobile: the spot is chosen according to the weather conditions to ensure the best quality and safety for the session. The exact meeting point is communicated in advance; please arrive early, especially if it is your first time at the spot.

4. Bookings, confirmations & rescheduling

The date and time are set by mutual agreement. Confirmation is sent the day before around 7:30 pm by SMS if conditions are favourable; please confirm your attendance by replying. In case of unfavourable conditions, the session is cancelled or rescheduled (information sent the day before, or at the latest 1 hour before in case of a last-minute lack of wind). If you need to cancel, please inform us as soon as possible.

5. Required participant information

To adapt the equipment and teaching approach, the school collects: full name, phone number, email, age, height and weight (for selecting kite/board/harness/impact vest/radio helmet).

6. Recommended equipment & clothing

Ideal clothing: boardshort or neoprene shorts/top, lycra. Sunglasses with a strap are highly recommended. Please arrive ready and on time to make the most of your lesson.

7. Indicative prices

• Students :
  • Kite/wing lessons: 13 000 XPF (109 €)
  • 4-lesson pack: 47,000 XPF (€394) – valid for 1 year, payable after the first session.
• Independent kitesurfers :
  • Supervised riding (own equipment): 5,000 XPF (€42)
  • Supervised rental (school equipment): 10,000 XPF (€84) — damage at the client’s expense
  • 10-session riding pack: 45,000 XPF (€377) – valid for 1 year
  • 5-session rental pack: 45,000 XPF (€377) – valid for 1 year
• Downwind: 8,000 XPF (€67)
• Downwind Tahiti/Moorea (1 day, 4 people): 20,000 XPF / person (€168).

8. Payment

Payment is made at the end of the session: cash, cheque, bank transfer or online payment on the website. Packs must be paid in full at the end of the first session.

9. Insurance & liability

Liability insurance (RC) covering kitesurfing/wing/foil at the school is mandatory.
Pacific Kite is AFKITE affiliated. You can subscribe online before the lesson:

• Student 365 days : 26 €
• Practitioner : 36 €
• Student day: €16
  Subscribe online (school reference 98002) – certificate received instantly by email. It is recommended to add IA (individual accident insurance) according to your needs.

Kitepass: AFKITE membership allows you to obtain a kitepass (level card), recognized in many centers (e.g., IKO) and useful for proving your skill level at school or while traveling.

10. Safety rules & conduct

The instructor reserves the right to adapt, interrupt or reschedule a session if conditions do not allow for safety and quality teaching. Participants agree to follow instructions and to report any relevant information about themselves (fatigue, injury, etc.).

12. Cancellation – Refund – Transfer

• The services (lessons, supervised riding, supervised rentals, downwinds) as well as the packs are non-refundable.
• They are transferable/resellable to a third party free of charge, provided we are notified at least 24 hours in advance (name, phone number and email of the replacement).
• The recipient must meet the age/weight/skill requirements and accept these terms and conditions.
• In case of weather-related cancellation by the school, the session will be rescheduled at no cost (no refund).
